Formula 1 will also feature six sprint races in the upcoming season. The calendar will once again include shortened races during the Grands Prix in Austin, Brazil, Qatar, China, and Miami. The only change from this year is the replacement of Austria with Belgium.
From this year onwards, Grands Prix with sprint races, which have been held since 2021, have a new format. The Friday program includes a free practice session and a sprint qualifying session, called the shootout.
On Saturday, a shortened race of approximately 100 km is held, followed by qualifying for Sunday’s Grand Prix.
Next season will, like this year, feature a total of 24 Grands Prix. The series will start in March in Australia and conclude in December in Abu Dhabi.
The first sprint race will take place in March in Shanghai, and the last one in November in Qatar.
