The NBA announced on its website that it has signed a lucrative eleven-year contract with three companies for broadcasting rights.
According to the AP, the elite basketball league will earn $76 billion from the deal, which will come into effect in the 2025/26 season.
The new contract involves Walt Disney, NBC, and Amazon.
The NBA management rejected an offer from Warner Bros. Discovery for $1.8 billion per year, which will end a long-standing partnership.
TNT, owned by Discovery, has been broadcasting the NBA for nearly four decades and will be replaced by Amazon Prime Video after the next season.
