The TotalEnergies cycling team experienced an unpleasant shock before the start of the 12th stage of the Tour de France.
During the night, thieves pried open the doors of the team vehicle parked in front of the hotel and stole eleven racing bikes.
According to the AFP agency, the damage has been preliminarily estimated at 150,000 euros.
The new bikes are expected to arrive only this evening, which means that the riders will have them available on Friday.
The value of each of these racing bikes is around 20,000 euros, making them a popular target for thieves during races.
