At the Karlovy Vary festival, which will take place from June 28, 2024 to July 6, 2024, the American actor Viggo Mortensen, known for his role as Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, will be a special guest.
He will receive the festival award at the opening ceremony on Friday 28 June.
The same award will be presented to British actor Clive Owen at the closing ceremony.
Other notable guests will be German actor Daniel Brühl and acclaimed director and producer Steven Soderbergh, organizers announced on Wednesday.
The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival is the largest film festival in the Czech Republic and is considered the most prestigious film event in Central and Eastern Europe.
